I often have to keep my distance before I say something stupid in the moment. If I ignore you during or after an argument, it’s not because I want you to go away, but because I want you to stay. I walk out before I say something stupid that’ll cause me to lose you and make matters worsen. For me, ignoring is not destructive, but a form recovery.
