University High School Performing Arts Department presents… MAGIC OF THE ARTS!
This year by far was the best Magic of the Arts experience for me. It was really busy and kind of stressful having to run around all day, but it was all very much worth the hassle! Rehearsal call time was at 11:45am and when I got there, Abby bought me a Chipotle burrito to carry on our eat-chipotle-on-Magic-of-the-Arts-day tradition that started during our first MOTA during freshman year! But it took me forever to eat it because of all those damn back-to-back rehearsals.. First we started with the all-school rehearsal, then women’s ensemble, which went over our break time! Grrrr. Right after, there was show choir rehearsals.. and freaking Mr. Lapp changes my position in the dance to the opposite side, and gives me a partner (and I didnt know the co-ed choreography). I had to learn and review before the show.. And when the show started at 7pm, It sucked for people who had show choir and women’s with me cause we were all running off stage, to the dressing rooms, and back on stage. And my boyfriend was waiting for me backstage with a water bottle so that I wouldnt die. And I was proud of him for being concertmaster of the orchestra and doing such a great job, yay! After MOTA, at around 10:00, I went to In N Out with my family… and so did the rest of the school. I awkwardly saw my boyfriend on the other side of the drive through. And then his family came in… Anyways, it was a great day!
